31.08.2024 - Starting to blog

Hello, my dear visitors,

I have decided to start blogging, even though it might be considered a little old-fashioned. I just wanted to leave something behind. Maybe some of these texts will be very useful for someone out there. I will be sharing various topics, including my hobbies, life updates, and more.

I may not be able to share updates all the time, but I would like to do it whenever I feel the need to sit down and write, like in this moment.

I will also think about how to categorize and filter all the blog content according to months and years on Google Sites. I hope this will be possible. Otherwise, I will have to find a solution for it.

11.09.2024 - Squarespace Issue and now

Since I decided to create this blog section, I took a brief break due to a domain renewal issue. I got a new credit card, and even though I added it to the system, it didn’t work with Squarespace for some reason. I tried several digital cards and even my sister’s card, but nothing worked. Coincidentally, it finally worked while I was in the middle of a complaint to Squarespace. Despite this, they claimed the issue was related to my credit card. To make matters worse, they charged me a different amount than what was displayed on the screen. That's a big question mark for me.

So, as a summary of Squarespace:

I looked at some alternative domain providers and found Porkbun. I saw positive reviews online, with many sharing good experiences. I might try to transfer my domain to Porkbun next year. It appears to be a Chinese provider, and people have commented that their customer service is quick and efficient. I think this should be the mindset of any company. A customer needs solutions, and they should be found immediately. This is also how I approach my work. I always think of myself as the customer and try to perform my job without creating any quality issues. Satisfied customers always lead to successful companies.

In other news, I bought a new pet! 🫠 It’s a slime mold, and I’m really excited to grow it and experiment with this single-celled organism. I have some projects in mind, and I’m preparing my code. Hopefully, I’ll have some updates soon!

I also purchased a food processor from Ninja, but it came with a lot of scratches, and the plastic molding around the blades was poorly done. Pieces of plastic could definitely end up in our food. I was expecting better quality, but I’ll return it. No problem there!

This week, I’ve been busy with my Solid Edge training. I’ve learned so many new things, but traveling 50 minutes one way to the training center was exhausting. I think it will be worth it in the end. I asked some questions I’d been curious about, and I think this will help me improve my hobby designs and provide better 3D data when I create PCB 3D models at work.
